The distant future--CERN learned that the legend of Wormwood was true, and that Humans cannot live safely on Planet Earth. An international team of space explorers is loaded on a first-ever A.I. (Artificial Intelligence) operated Starship under the Artificial Limitless Intelligence System.
 
The Starship, in its multi-century voyage to a distant moon and transporting the people on board in its twentieth year, a hibernation pod opens prematurely, and the one person that awakes, Lieutenant Commander Braxton Northfield, saves the ship. But the bigger question was who woke him; that would be the Artificial Limitless Intelligence System or Alis, as she calls herself.
